Before prescribing weight management medication, our clinical team must confirm you meet the eligibility criteria set by UK prescribing guidelines. Weight verification is a required step in that process.
Eligibility criteria for weight management medication:
- BMI of 30 or above, or
- BMI of 27 or above with at least one weight-related health condition
The photo you submit allows our clinicians to assess your eligibility in line with these thresholds. This protects both your safety and the clinical integrity of your treatment.
What are my options if I don't want to submit a photo?
If you are not comfortable submitting a photo through the app, you can instead provide a recent height and weight record from your GP or a pharmacy. This record must:
- Have been produced within the last three months
- Include your full name and date of birth
- Be dated and on headed paper or carry a pharmacy stamp
Are my photos kept private?
Yes. Photos are reviewed only by the clinician assessing your case. They are stored as medical data under strict regulatory and data protection requirements and are never used for any marketing or promotional purposes.
