How long does a prescription review take?

Our clinical team typically reviews new prescription requests within 48 hours of receiving your completed consultation and any required verification materials (including your BMI photo, where applicable). If our clinical team needs further information, they will contact you directly by email. Once approved, your order will be dispatched and you will receive a tracking notification. For returning patients resuming treatment, a clinical review is also required before dispatch.

Why do I need to share my GP details?

For certain prescription medications — including weight management treatments — providing your GP details is a legal and clinical requirement, not simply a policy preference. This requirement is in place to ensure: - Patient safety — confirming your prescribed medication is appropriate and safe given your full medical history. - Continuity of care — keeping your GP informed so they can coordinate any other aspects of your care. - Prevention of drug interactions — your GP can only avoid harmful interactions if they are aware of all medications you are taking. - Regulatory compliance — this process follows prescribing guidelines set by UK healthcare regulatory bodies. Will my GP be contacted? Yes. We will write to your GP to inform them of any medication prescribed. This keeps your medical records current and supports your ongoing care. Your data is handled in strict compliance with data protection law and medical confidentiality standards. Can I opt out of sharing my GP details? No. For weight management medications, this is mandatory.

What if I don't have a GP?

If you are not currently registered with a UK GP, we will be unable to provide prescription services. This is not a discretionary policy — we are required by clinical safety standards to have an active point of medical contact for every patient. Accessing your NHS Summary Care Record (SCR)

If you are registered with an NHS GP practice in England, our clinicians may — with your explicit consent — access your NHS Summary Care Record (SCR) to support your consultation. What does your SCR contain? - Your current medications - Any allergies you have - Details of any previous bad reactions to medicines Access to this information helps our clinicians ensure any treatment they prescribe is safe and appropriate for you. How we protect your information Your SCR will only be accessed by a registered health professional working on your case. It will only be used in connection with your consultation and to support safe prescribing. Can I withdraw consent? Yes. You can withdraw consent for SCR access at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Once withdrawn, our clinicians will no longer be able to view your SCR. If your SCR is not available, or you choose not to give consent, our clinicians will proceed based on the information you provide directly.

Why is weight verification needed?

Before prescribing weight management medication, our clinical team must confirm you meet the eligibility criteria set by UK prescribing guidelines. Weight verification is a required step in that process. Eligibility criteria for weight management medication: - BMI of 30 or above, or - BMI of 27 or above with at least one weight-related health condition The photo you submit allows our clinicians to assess your eligibility in line with these thresholds. This protects both your safety and the clinical integrity of your treatment. What are my options if I don't want to submit a photo? If you are not comfortable submitting a photo through the app, you can instead provide a recent height and weight record from your GP or a pharmacy. This record must: - Have been produced within the last three months - Include your full name and date of birth - Be dated and on headed paper or carry a pharmacy stamp Are my photos kept private? Yes. Photos are reviewed only by the clinician assessing your case. They are stored as medical data under strict regulatory and data protection requirements and are never used for any marketing or promotional purposes.

How do I upload photos to verify my eligibility?

Photos must be taken directly within the Evernu app — this ensures the image is current and has not been altered. Photos taken on your device's camera and then uploaded are not accepted. If you are unable to download the app, you may submit a height and weight record from your GP or pharmacy as an alternative (see "Why is weight verification needed?" for requirements). Your photos will typically be reviewed by a clinician within 24 hours of submission.

What happens if my prescription request is rejected?

If our clinical team determines that a requested treatment is not appropriate for you, you will be notified by email. Our clinicians may also request additional information before making a final decision. If your prescription is not approved, no payment will be taken. You will not be charged for a prescription that has not been issued.
